This painting entitled the Team was one I was inspired to do after I met Skip T., a local farmer near our home in Vermont… He was showing his team of oxen at the autumn fair and I asked him if I could undertake a painting of Skip and his two oxen.

I spent a considerable time trying to get it right as well as an accurate portrait of Skip.  I had to make a couple of return trips to the farm and got to know both oxen quite well before

I was through.
