R.M.S.     titanic

This painting of R.M.S. Titanic at Queenstown ( now Cobh ) Ireland,

was inspired by my family’s history.

My Grandfather’s  family were due to immigrate to

America from England.

Passage was booked on Titanic in April of 1912.

Preparations where made for the Journey and this

great undertaking… but as my

Great Grandmother, Alice was pregnant with her 9th child and refused to go ,

the family decided to give up the idea.

They sailed the following year on May 8th 1913 for Quebec, Canada

on the ship Ascania.

With my reference for this painting

in Cobh, Ireland .
